Dat de discussie omtrent The Last of Us 2 stevig uit de hand loopt, is bewezen. Laura Bailey, de stemactrice die het gecontesteerde personage Abby vertolkt, krijgt doodsbedreigingen van fans die niet akkoord zijn met hoe het verhaal loopt. Of niet begrijpen dat Bailey slechts de stemactrice is en niet Abby zelf. De makers reageren onthutst.

De Amerikaanse stemactrice die ook Mary-Jane vertolt in Marvel’s Spider-Man en Kait Diaz in Gears of War speelt, deelde de nare berichten op Twitter:

Sinds de actrice het bericht deelde, kreeg ze duizenden steunbetuigingen. Ook Naughty Dog heeft als studio gereageerd. De ontwikkelaar veroordeelt dergelijke berichten ten sterkste:
